Holocaust Survivor, Pikesville Resident, Featured in Film

A screening of "See You Soon Again," featuring Leo Bretholz, is scheduled for Sunday during the Maryland Film Festival.

A documentary film about Leo Bretholz, a spry 90-year-old Holocaust Survivor and book author, is scheduled to be shown Sunday during .

"See You Soon Again" features scenes from Bretholz's visit to Perry Hall High School.

One scene shows 10th-graders gathered to visit with him in the school's cafeteria.

"Do you ever get tired of telling your story?" a student asks.

"Sometimes I do, yes, but I have to do it for the memory of the victims," Bretholz said.

, originally from Austria, spent nearly seven years hiding and fleeing the Nazis across Europe, before immigrating to Baltimore and settling in Pikesville. He has told his story publicly thousands of times, according to the film website.

said the school community felt honored to be included in the film.

"We whole-heartedly welcomed it, considering the experiences he shared with the students," he said.

"See You Soon Again" is scheduled to screen at 11:30 a.m. on May 6 at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Brown Center in Falvey Hall at 1301 W. Mt Royal Ave. in Baltimore,
