Gifted and Talented Workshop: Mapping Your High School Path

Deborah Franklin, chairwoman of the Counseling Department in Pikesville, is set to speak during a Nov. 2 workshop for gifted and talented students.

The workshop for students in grades 7-9 is titled "Mapping Your High School Path," will be held from 6:45 to 9 p.m. at Loch Raven High School, 1212 Cowpens Ave., Baltimore.

The Baltimore County Public Schools event is sponsored by the Citizens' Advisory Committee for Gifted and Talented Education, and is designed to help students and their families choose courses and activities that prepare for college.

  • Tim Hayden, acting coordintor for BCPS Office of School Counseling
  • Kristina Boxley, chairwoman for Catonsville High School's counseling department
  • Matt Ferenschak, chairman of the Dumbarton Middle School counseling department
  • Ken Dickson, coordinator for BCPS Office of Gifted and Talented Education
