Milford Mill Swim Club To Be Auctioned this Month

According to a report in "The Baltimore Business Journal," bids will begin at $500,000 on the property "that includes an 18-foot deep quarry lake, stream, indoor and outdoor pools, and pavilions."

The Milford Mill Swim Club was the scene of John Waters' "Cry Baby" movie, and has been a place for generations of Baltimore-area residents to hang out for warm-weather fun, according to a report in The Baltimore Business Journal.

Its future is uncertain as it's up for auction June 27, as first reported by the journal. Read the full story.

According to A.J. Billig & Co. Auctioneers' website, the nearly 19 acres at 3900 Milford Mill Road in Milford Mill, is billed as land for developing a "housing subdivision, a church or school, camp or club."

About 2 acres is a quarry pond, the site states. There is also a cell phone tower is leased on the eastern corner of the property until 2026. The property also has indoor and outdoor pools, a stream with steel bridge, ziplines and more.
