The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch in our region until 10 p.m. Thursday.
The forecast for Garrison includes a 60 percent chance of severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon through 10 p.m., and up to .75 inches of rainfall.
In addition to Baltimore County and Baltimore City, the watch includes the following Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, Prince Georges, Carroll, Frederick, Washington, and Harford, the watch states.
It also includes Arlington, Fairfax and Loudon counties in Virginia.
The high Thursday is about 87 degrees, with a low of 70 degrees, the forecast states.
On Friday, showers and thunderstorms are likely after 3 p.m., it states. Otherwise it will be partly sunny with a high of 88 degrees on Friday.
