County's West Side Residents Asked to Conserve Water

Baltimore County: Repairs to a major water distribution line in Baltimore City could continue through the end of July.

Residents of the west side of Baltimore County should limit lawn watering, car washing and topping off swimming pools during certain times of the day until a water line is repaired.

Those activities should be done only during the early morning hours or after sunset, according to a news release from the county.

These are just some of the water-conservation efforts that Baltimore County is asking west side residents to do through the end of the month, the release states.

Residents from Reisterstown Road and westward to the Howard County and Anne Arundel County lines should also run their dishwashers and clothes washing machines only with full loads and take water-saving showers instead of baths.

"The voluntary water controls will be in effect while crews replace 48 feet of pipe located in the city," it states.
