POLL: Do You Agree With Obama's New Birth Control Policy?

Let us know what you think.

President Obama today announced he is changing his health-care rule regarding birth control in order to ease the concerns of some religious organizations, the Washington Post reports.

"Women still will be guaranteed coverage for contraceptive services without any out-of-pocket cost, but will have to seek the coverage directly from their insurance companies if their employers object to birth control on religious grounds," according to the Post.

That will allow religiously-affiliated non-profit employers to provide insurance plans that exclude birth-control coverage.

Do you think that is an acceptable solution? Take our poll and let us know!

Its only "just" a policy about "birth control" if you consider abortion to be a form of birth control! The policy forces all faith institutions, not just Catholic institutions, to cover abortifacients. If this is allowed to stand, will the government of the future be allowed to require you to pay a fine for having in excess of two children? How about following the Chinese model and making it one child?

Obama's 'flip flop' merely means that, in case where 'religious affiliates' not responsible for covering birth control but instead insurance companies agree to provide without charge or co-payment, those of us (the rest of us) with health insurance will be paying the costs.

"Its only 'just' a policy about 'birth control' if you consider abortion to be a form of birth control! The policy forces all faith institutions, not just Catholic institutions, to cover abortifacients." Well said, Robert. This is a First Amendment issue. The Obama Administration is attempting to tell faith-based organizations that they must provide "health care" products and services to their employees which the organizations consider morally, grievously wrong in clear violation of the "free exercise" clause of the First Amendment.

How about not funding ANY religious organization unless they follow the law. How about keeping church and state separate. That first amendment thing.
