- Chestnut Ridge. Barnstable Court. At about 4 p.m. Jan. 25. A two-alarm house fire.
- Garrison. Unit block of St. Thomas Lane. At Just after 11 p.m. Firefighters battled a blaze for three hours.
- Lochearn. 3600 block of Forest Hill Road. At Just after 5 a.m. It took firefighters 15 minutes to knock out this fire.
Also this year, the PVFC was among 40 emergency responders to receive a grant from BGE. The company was awarded money to buy a thermal imager to help see people through smoke.
Don't forget: When approaching any emergency vehicle stopped alongside the road, away from the incident to help keep emergency responders safe.
