Pikesville is Site of '9/11 Ten Years Later: A Remembrance' Service
Public event will be held at Chizuk Amuno Congregation, 7-8:30 p.m., Sept. 11. Gov. Martin O'Malley is among the guest speakers.
The Baltimore Jewish Council is organizing a memorial service in Baltimore County for the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The event, titled "9/11 Ten Years Later: A Remembrance," will be held 7-8:30 p.m., Sept. 11, at , 8100 Stevenson Road in Pikesville. It is open to the public.
Guest speakers expected at the events are are Gov. Martin O'Malley; U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin; Col. Terrence Sheriden, a former Maryland State Police superintendent, and Jayne Miller of WBAL-TV, according to a news release from The Associated.

The event is sponsored by The Associated, the congregation, Baltimore Board of Rabbis; American Jewish Committee, Baltimore; Greater Washington Muslim Council, and The Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies.
