Maricom Expands Its Business in Woodlawn Enterprise Zone

Elected officials, executives celebrate renovations and hiring for 35 new jobs.

Maricom, an information technology business in the new Federal Center at Woodlawn Enterprise Zone, has expanded and is recruiting for 35 more jobs.

On Thursday, U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Del. Adrienne Jones celebrated the expansion with Maricom and CSC executives.

CSC is the parent company for Maricom and is based in Falls Church, VA.

To expand, Maricom is using incentives made available this year .

The 395-acre zone includes parts of Rutherford Business Center, Windsor Corporate Park, Meadows Industrial Center and Executive Park West. The properties are near Dogwood Lane and I-695.

Tax credits and loan programs helped Maricom renovate the properties so it can hire more employees to help with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services work.

A news release from Kamenetz's office states Maricom is the “first major business expansion in the new Federal Center at Woodlawn Enterprise Zone."

Maricom already employs 200, the release states.
