Forecast: More Snow, 11 Inches, Could Accumulate Wednesday

Wednesday will be filled with snow, rain and wind with 3-8 inches of snow expected to stack up during the day, and some more at night.

Parts of the Baltimore Metro already had about 3 inches of rain and snow overnight, but more snow, up to 11 inches in some communities, is expected through Wednesday night.

A winter storm warning is in effect for the larger region: the Baltimore and D.C. Metro area, through 3 a.m. Thursday, when as much as 12 inches of snow could accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

"Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous," the warning states. "Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency."
