Woodlawn Shooting Leaves One Injured
A Social Security Administration employee was injured in a shooting off campus while on lunch break.
A Social Security Administration employee on lunch break was injured in a shooting in Woodlawn on Monday, away from the SSA headquarters campus, according to Baltimore County police.
The SSA employee, a man, was shot during a robbery before noon. Police responded to the incident in the woods at Walden Circle at about 11:43 a.m.
After the shooting, the alleged assailant ran down Woodlawn Drive, according to the police report. The victim walked to Woodlawn Drive and Parallel Road, where he collapsed, the police statement said. Social Security Administration headquarters is nearby at 6401 Security Boulevard.

The victim was taken to Sinai Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the statement.
The SSA was locked down while police investigated the incident, according to a story on WJZ-TV. That lockdown was lifted at 2 p.m.
