Baltimore County police arrested two men last week in the Sept. 30, 2009, stabbing death of Rodney Lewis in his Randallstown home.
On Jan. 2, police arrested Eric Isaiah Johnson, according to a news release. Then, on Jan. 3, police arrested Leonard Briscoe. Both have been charged with first-degree murder.
At about 4 p.m. Sept. 30, 2009, officers went to the Lewis' residence in the 9500 block of Liberty Road. During their investigation, police found out that Johnson was staying with Lewis and Lewis' wife.
On that day someone had called and reported "finding the body of Rodney Lewis deceased on the kitchen floor," a county news release states. "The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled that the victim died of multiple sharp-force injuries and that the death was a homicide."
Police say that, during the investigation, they learned that Johnson and Briscoe, his friend, came into the home "on the day of the murder and began to steal valuables throughout the home."
While the suspects allegedly were stealing, Rodney Lewis came home unexpectedly. Allegedly, there was a fight between Lewis and Johnson, and Lewis was fatally stabbed, the release states.
Both are being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.
