Toddler's Death Ruled a Homicide

Randallstown 18-month-old died at University Hospital on Feb. 4.

The Feb. 4 death of 18-month-old Stiles Brown has been ruled a homicide by the Maryland's Office of Chief Medical Examiner, according to a statement from Baltimore County Police.

The office notified police of the ruling on April 20.

On Jan. 31, the boy was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Baltimore. "He had multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced deceased on Feb. 4," according to the statement. "A preliminary investigation and autopsy were conducted at that time, and detectives have been waiting for the results of the autopsy."

Before his death, the boy resided in the 9500 block of Branchleigh Road, in the police Precinct 2/Woodlawn area. The investigation is still ongoing.
