UPDATE: Copper Piping Destroyed at Swim Club

UPDATE (2:29 p.m.)—A burglar opened the fence to the Milford Mill Swim Club, pried open the door to the main building and ransacked the inside.

According to a police report, the burglar came in some time between 6:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27.

The burglar went to a few other buildings and took the following: two computers, two monitors, a digital video camera, a waterproof camera, printer, a tool set, two first aid kits and a generator.

A burglar damaged copper piping at the Milford Mill Swim Club pump room, according to Baltimore County police.

Between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, a burglar came into the pump house at 3900 Milford Mill Rd and tried to cut the piping.

In the process, the thief destroyed about $50 in piping, a police report states.

The swim club, which is undergoing an ownership change, has been the target of other crimes this summer, said Lt. Michael DiCara, assistant commander of the Pikesville precinct.

The pool has been closed, he said.

Those crimes include a golf cart theft and vandalism of the fence surrounding the pool.
