This police-mentored group from the Pikesville and Franklin precincts hopes to attend a conference this summer that's important to each Explorer's development in law enforcement: The National Law Enforcement Exploring Conference.

There they will learn more law enforcement skills and will compete against thousands of other Explorers from throughout the U.S.

It's held in Fort Collins, CO, and, with the cost of gasoline, airfare and car rentals rising, it now takes more money to get there, said Ketterman.

So far, the group has raised $2,600 for the trip, but they need $4,000 more, Ketterman said.

For more info, or to buy tickets, call Ketterman at 410-887-6775, or Officer Andy Kauffman of the Franklin precinct, at 410-887-6985.
