Pikesville McDonalds cashier thought the suspect had a gun.

A man at a McDonald's drive-thru in south Pikesville apparently was interested in more than a late-night snack as he forced open a chashier's window and stole the cash register drawer early Thursday.

Just after midnight, the alleged thief handed the drive-thru cashier money for his order, according to a police report. "But once the register was open, the suspect forced open the cashier's window ... and stole the register drawer," the report stated.

The McDonald's cashier fled to the back of the business thinking the man had a gun, according to the report.
