Resident Startles Burglar Who Jumps Out Shattered Window

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

A Pikesville resident came home to find a burglar inside his Pikesville home.

According to a police report, a first-degree burglary occurred between 1:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 28 in the unit block of Aspen Tree Court.

The resident's presence startled the burglar who had locked the front door chain lock—just in case, according to a police report.

After seeing the resident, the burglar—a man wearing a white tank top and light-colored shorts—ran back through a window that had already been shattered, leaving behind the items he'd tried to steal.

The items recovered were a watch, three gaming systems, a laptop computer, safe, checkbooks, a suitcase, video games and movies, the report states.

The burglar is described as being 5-foot 9-inches tall and 140 lbs.
