Randallstown Man Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Officer

A US Park Police officer saw Jesse Lee Bell swerve on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, and when pulled over, Bell refused to do field sobriety tests, then drove off while the officer was still reaching inside Bell's truck.

Jesse Lee Bell, 39, pleaded guilty Wednesday to assaulting a federal officer who stopped him on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

A US Park Police officer pulled Bell over after Bell swerved while driving on the parkway, according to the Maryland US Attorney's Office.

Bell didn't cooperate with the officers' request for him to get out of his vehicle and do field sobriety tests, the release states. Then Bell drove away while the officer was still reaching inside Bell's vehicle, as the officer tried to open Bell's door.
