Randallstown Man Charged with Attempted Murder

Police charged the man with attempted murder after he allegedly shot at a Reisterstown man in what police say was a drug deal gone bad.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in an incident in which he allegedly shot at a Reisterstown man who got into his car to sell him drugs, police said.

Wahkean Ali Taylor, of the 8800 block of Falcon Ridge Drive in Randallstown, approached a 23-year-old Reisterstown resident about drugs at the intersection of Cherry Hill Court and Cherry Hill Road on Friday, June 11, at 2:24 a.m., police said.

When the man got into Taylor’s car, he robbed him at gunpoint, police said. After reportedly taking $40 worth of marijuana and the man’s ketchup bottle, police said the victim exited the vehicle. Taylor allegedly shot at him, causing an abrasion, police said.

“It was later that day that our investigators learned that a car had been brought in to a glass repair shop in Dundalk for passenger side window repair,” said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police Department's .

“…They looked at the car and the damage appeared to be caused by a gunshot and so they arrested the man that dropped the car off when he came to pick it up," Doarnberger said.
