Here's a sampling of recent activity at the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company.

Fire caused about $42,000 in damage Monday morning to a home on Lightfoot Drive in Pikesville, near Quarry Lake, according to a Baltimore County Fire Department official.

Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company vehicles were among the 13 responders that extinguished the blaze. The fire was ruled accidental, the official said.

Saturday: At 7:49 p.m., firefighters extinguished an electrical fire at Trader Joe's in the Festival at Woodholme shopping center. The store, located at 1809 Reisterstown Road, was evacuated when firefighters arrived. The fire was in a refrigeration unit in the frozen foods section.

Saturday: At 8:38 a.m., the company's Tower 323 vehicle was transferred, for what turned out to be six hours, to the Baltimore City Fire Department Steadman Station downtown while BCFD units were on the scene of a four-alarm building fire.

July 21: At 9:53 p.m., the heavy rescue squad, Squad 322, responded to a traffic accident on the outer loop of I-695 between exits 21 and 22 in Pikesville, according to a PVFC report. According to the Baltimore County Fire Department, there is no record of injuries or anyone being taken to the hospital.

July 18: At 1:27 p.m., Engine 321 responded to a traffic accident on the outer loop of I-695 between exits 20 and 21 in Pikesville, a PVFC report states. According to the BCFD, there is no record of injuries or transports.
