Police to Thank Volunteers at Annual Dinner

Baltimore Marriott Hunt Valley Inn venue for April 13 event.

Baltimore County, Md. (April 12, 2011) - The Baltimore County Police Department will say thank you to volunteers with a dinner on April 13. The festivities will take place at the Baltimore Marriott Hunt Valley Inn, 245 Shawan Road, Hunt Valley, 21031 and will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

It's National Volunteer Week, and on April 13, Chief Jim Johnson and Captain Jeffrey Rosier will personally thank volunteers who have helped the Baltimore County Police Department

“Celebrating People in Action” is the theme for the dinner this year, during which volunteers will be thanked for the many hours and selfless dedication they give to the department.

This marks the 16th year for the event.

Men, women and teens take on some of the duties that officers would otherwise have to perform. When volunteers work, officers can do what they do best, protect and serve the people of Baltimore County.
