Police: Suspicious Package at SSA Only Trash

Security Boulevard was shut down Monday morning as Baltimore County police investigated a suspicous package in front of Social Security Administration headquarters.

A suspicious package in front of the Social Security Administration headquarters Monday morning was found to be harmless, said Detective Cathy Batton, spokeswoman for Baltimore County police.

A call came in to police at 10:37 a.m. regarding a suspicious package on Security Boulevard in front of SSA headquarters in Woodlawn, she said. The Hazardous Devices unit investigated and found that it was a box of trash.

Police were clearing the scene at about 11:27 a.m.
