Police Seeking Man Following Stabbing Aboard Greyhound Bus

The alleged assailant reportedly yelled that he had AIDS, then jumped off the bus and fled into nearby woods.

Police are still searching for a man suspected of stabbing a woman multiple times aboard a Greyhound bus in Baltimore, leaving her badly injured, reports WBAL TV.

The attack happened at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Investigators with the Baltimore Police Department said they've identified the man, but are still searching for him.

The attack happened as the Greyhound bus was heading north on Russell Street, not far from the bus station and the new casino construction. According to the police report, a man walked out of the bathroom on the bus and, without saying a word, started to stab the woman with a knife.

Witnesses told police that the man got off of the bus, screaming that he had AIDS, the TV station said.

Bus riders reported that the man ran into some nearby woods, yelling he'd forgotten his coat, WBAL reported. Several officers searched the area with K-9 units but did not find the man.
