UPDATE: Missing Woodlawn Man Returns Home

Gary Booker walked away from his residence at 9 a.m. Thursday, police announced at about 9:30 p.m. that he had returned home.

UPDATE (9:30 p.m.)—A Woodlawn man who has diminished mental capabilities and had walked away from his Woodlawn residence returned home Thursday night, police said.

He was unharmed.

Gary Booker, 68, of the 2600 block of W. Park Dr., walked away from his residence Thursday morning—the first time he has ever been gone, police said.

Booker is a black man with a medium complexion, short gray hair and a gray beard, a police news release said.

He wore a red T-shirt that says "Phat Farm," bluejeans and black tennis shoes with a gold Nike swoosh.

He was was last seen at a bus stop at Gwynn Oak Avenue and Gwynn Lake Drive, but police say it is not clear whether he got on the bus.
