Police Searching for Missing UMD Student

Twenty-year-old David Johnathan Scherr was last seen in a Ravens shirt with white plaid shorts.

A University of Maryland student has been missing since Dec. 19, according to officials, and police are hoping the public can help them find the college student.

David Johnathan Scherr, 20, a Pikesville native, was last seen on campus in College Park at 2 p.m. in a Ravens shirt and white plaid shorts. Police said he may have been driving a black 2013 Ford Escape with Maryland tags 3AX4875.

PGPD Cpl. Maria McKinney said today that no new information is available and did not respond to whether or not foul play was involved.

Anyone with information on David Scherr's whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s District I Investigative Section at 301-699-2601.
