Police: Mother Stabs Son, Is Charged With Abuse

UPDATE (10:36 a.m. Feb. 27) — Jacqueline Natalie Smith, 33, has been charged with assault after allegedly stabbing her teenage son early Wednesday, Baltimore County Police said.
Baltimore County police responded to a call to find the teen with a stab wound to his upper leg.
According to a police statement, he had been in an argument with his mother, and she allegedly stabbed him.

Police arrested the teen's mother, who is a resident of the unit block of Stockmill Road in Pikesville, and charged her with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, first-degree child abuse, second-degree child abuse and resisting arrest, according to a police statement.
She is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $150,000 bail.

The teen was transported to Northwest Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the statement.
