Police Charge 2 Men in Pikesville Purse Snatching

Two Baltimore men are charged with robbery Thursday.

Baltimore County police arrested two Baltimore City men Thursday on robbery charges after a reported purse snatching in Pikesville.

At about 10 a.m. Thursday in the unit block of Stonehenge Circle, police say one suspect asked a woman for directions to Old Court Road. Before the woman could answer, the suspect snatched the purse off her arm, according to a police report.

Two maintenance men saw the incident, chased the man and watched him get into a 2005 navy blue Hyundai Santa Fe, the report states. A second suspect was in the vehicle.

Later that day, police arrested Corey Morrell Winfield, of the 4900 block of Nelson Ave., and Steve Wayne Diggs Jr., of the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road, on Thursday and charged the men with robbery, a police report states.
