Police Identify Fatal Accident Victim as 38-year-old Pikesville Woman

Yolanda Carr of the 4500 block of Tapscott Road died in a car accident on Wednesday.

Baltimore County police have identified the woman who died in a car crash near the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company on Wednesday as 38-year-old Yolanda Carr of Pikesville. 

Carr, of the 4500 block of Tapscott Road, died in an accident that occurred in a parking lot in the 100 block of Old Court Road, said Detective Cathy Batton. 

"At around 7:30 p.m. (Wednesday) we responded to the parking lot where the driver had put her vehicle in reverse, backed up a hill, struck several property signs and two parked cars," Batton said. "She was ejected from the vehicle because, while those other events were going on, her driver's side door was open.

"She was pronounced dead on the scene and our Crash Team investigators continue to investigate," she added.

According to the police report, Carr's vehicle struck one parked car before she drove up on top of a third vehicle and was ejected from her car.
