Police: Fight Over Woman Turned Deadly

Two men shot and killed early Sunday behind a Pikesville bar had been arguing inside and had been kicked out by bar staff, said Lt. Robert McCullough, spokesman for Baltimore County police.

"Our investigation revealed that there was an altercation inside of the location, involving a young lady. Two gentlemen were arguing over one lady," McCullough said Monday. "That prompted bar personnel to put the individuals out of the bar, and shortly after they went out of the bar is when the shooting took place out back."

The county police homicide unit continues to investigate, he said. The restaurant was holding Latin night when the incident occurred, he said.

At about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police first received a call to assist at a bar in the 1300 block of Reisterstown Road, McCullough said. But about a minute later, a second call came in reporting a shooting.

When officers from Pikesville's Precinct 4 arrived, they "found two male victims shot in the rear parking lot," McCullough said. "Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene."

On Sunday morning, , which has been replaced at 1330 Reisterstown Road by Paradiso Italian Grill and Bar. It's located in downtown Pikesville next to The Alley Shops.

As of Monday morning, police have no leads in the case, McCullough said. Police ask anyone with information to call 410-307-2020. Or to possibly qualify for a reward up to $2,000, call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.

McCullough said this incident appears to be isolated, and police continue to investigate. "Generally, rarely do you have any problems in Pikesville," he said.

He noted that a was also an isolated incident, and is in no way connected.
