Police Charge Randallstown Man with Murder of Willie Jackson

Baltimore County police arrested Sterling Lewis March 30.

A 21-year-old Randallstown man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Willie Cedric Jackson.

Sterling Gregory Lewis, of the 3900 block of Nemo Road, was arrested on March 30, two days after police discovered Jackson suffering from gunshot wounds that ultimately ended his life, according to a statement released by Baltimore County police.

On March 27 at about 11:47 p.m., officers responding to the 4000 block of Winlee Road in Randallstown, shortly before midnight on March 28, found .

"Detectives say that on the night of the incident, [Jackson] and a witness planned to sell drugs to [Lewis],"  according to the police department statement.

Police said Lewis attemtped to steal the drugs and pulled a gun on Jackson.

"Willie Jackson was shot several times when he attempted to defend himself," according to the police department statement.

He was pronounced dead at Northwest Hospital, Randallstown. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Jackson's death a homicide, according to police.

Lewis is being held without bail in the Baltimore County Detention Center.
