Police Arrest Man Stuck in Window

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

A Baltimore man was arrested Friday after Baltimore County police said they found him stuck in the window of a Gwynn Oak house.

Ricky Ray Evans, 31, of the 400 block of East North Street, was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, and one count of fourth-degree burglary, according to police spokeswoman Det. Cathy Batton.

Friday afternoon, a resident of the 3700 block of Croydon Road in Gwynn Oak called 911 to report that an airconditioning unit had been knocked out of one of his windows, Batton said. While  the man was on the phone with 911, he saw three men in his backyard coming toward the house, she said.

Police were already on their way when the resident chased one of the three men. Meanwhile, the other two got into a blue Volvo parked one house away and drove off, according to police.

The resident chased the remaining man to the 3700 block of Buckingham Road. There, the fleeing man jumped into a bathroom window, got stuck, and "screamed that he had been shot," according to police. In fact, he was not shot and he was arrested, the report states.
