Baltimore County Police are investigating two shootings at gas stations—one Friday in Catonsville, and one fatal shooting early this morning in Parkville.

According to police, one person was killed during the . The shooting occurred at 12:30 a.m. at the Exxon, at the 7300 block of McClean Blvd.

And on Friday, Police say he was shot during a robbery attempt.

Weather ripe for fire

Low relative humidity, warm temperatures and high winds made this weekend particularly prone to fires, according to the National Weather Service reports and fire officials. And fires took hold.

TOWSON—In Towson on Saturday morning, fire struck an assisted living home in Riderwood—Holland Manor, an assisted living facility in the 1800 block of Landrake Road, not far from Riderwood Elementary School.

Eleven residents and two employees who were in the home at the time were evacuated.

ROSEDALE—At about 2 p.m. Saturday in Rosedale, Baltimore County at the Strong Arm Bail Bonds, 8555 Pulaski Highway. It spread to Bed World, and both burned to the ground. 

PERRY HALL—One firefighter was hurt in a fire that severely damaged a home at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Roxburgh Court, off of Beaconsfield Drive in Perry Hall.

HANOVER—On Friday, a occupied numerous fire departments, and closed Route 100 for a time. For photos and a video, visit .

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY—On Saturday, there were numerous fires in Anne Arundel County. .

Snow possible Monday

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook this afternoon and tonight: "A small craft advisory will be in effect overnight for the entire Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac. Gales are possible Monday."

As of 1:45 p.m. today, the NWS estimates there's a 40 percent chance of rain showers tonight, but only about 1/10 inch will fall. The high today will be near 44 degrees.

Tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 21, rain is expected after 4 p.m. and could then become a wintry mix, followed tomorrow night by snow and a possibility of accumulation. There's an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Throughout the week, temperatures will be cooler than last this week when the highs reached into the lower 70s. Rain is expected Monday, as well as on Thursday and Friday.

  • Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of near 35 degrees.
  • Wednesday is expected to be sunny with a high near 46 degrees.
  • There's a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday, when the high could be near 52.
  • Friday forecast is a high of near 57 degrees with a 50 percent chance of rain.
