Pikesville Man Faces Armed Robber in Driveway

Thwarting the robbery, the victim drove to the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct nearby on Milford Mill Road.

A Pikesville resident was in a real bind Monday after an armed robber approached him after he backed into his own driveway.

But some quick thinking and a decision to just drive away got him out of that dangerous situation.

At about 1 a.m. Monday, a resident of the unit block of Linden Terrace in Pikesville backed into his driveway and opened his car door to get out, according to a police report.

That's when a man with a black handgun came up to him and asked him to hand over his cell phone, the report states.

Instead, "The victim placed his vehicle in drive and drove to Precinct 04," it states.
