Pikesville Crime: Airbags Stolen Overnight

Police say thieves likely targeted Acura and Honda vehicles.

Eleven vehicles' airbags were stolen early this week in northeast Pikesville.

From late evening Sunday through early morning Monday, airbags were stolen on Hayley Ridge Way, Jones View Drive, Falls Gable Lane, Jones Falls Terrace and Katewood Court, according to a community alert issued by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct.

The alert was distributed Wednesday through the Pikesville Police & Community Relations Council.

"It appeared that the incident was isolated to one evening where the thieves were targeting Acura and Honda product vehicles," states the alert from the precinct's Community Outreach team.

In all, airbags from 11 vehicles were stolen, it states.

Police ask residents to be vigilant of people roaming neighborhoods, and report suspicious activity by calling 911.
