Pikesville Police Report Two Owings Mills Arsons

Two cars were set afire in separate incidents. The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Two cars set on fire in separate incidents in Owings Mills last week were the work of arsonists.

Lt. J. Landsman of Baltimore County Police Precinct 4/Pikesville said the incidents were forwarded to the county Arson Team in Towson for further investigation.

Each separate incident was second-degree arson, according to reports from Baltimore County Police Precinct 4/Pikesville.

In the first incident, a 2002 Ford van was reported on fire in the 8600 block of Park Heights Avenue in Owings Mills at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set, according to a police report.

A yellow, 2006 Hyundai Tiburon was then set on fire shortly before 12:30 a.m. Friday in front of 6 Thistle Dell Court in Owings Mills. The car, which belonged to a Randallstown resident, was reported stolen on June 3, according to a police report.

The fire was put out before the car was fully engulfed in flames, according to the report.
