Pikesville Food Store Target of Armed Robbery

Two men, one armed with a handgun, stole cash from La Nogueras Tienda Latina on Reisterstown Road.

Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed a Pikesville food store Sunday night, just as the store was about to close.

The two entered the La Nogueras Tienda Latina at 106 Reisterstown Road at about 8:55 p.m., as a store worker was closing. They jumped the counter, according to a Baltimore County police report from the Pikesville Precinct.

One man allegedly displayed a handgun, pried open the cash register and stole an undetermined amount of cash. The suspects also tried to destroy surveillance equipment.

There were no injuries during the robbery. The suspects ran from the store that sells Hispanic foods at about 9:05 p.m.
