Tree Stand Thief Leaves Cryptic Note

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

A burglar this week stole a tree stand, damaged another on a Pikesville man's property, and left an unusual note.

"You do not have permission to hunt here," the note said. "Don't come back." However, that note was not written by the property owner, a police report states.

The note was found on property in the 2800 block of Grasty Woods Ln., and was left between 7 p.m. Oct. 5 and 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Thursday report.
