Pikesville Crime: Thief Snatches Shopper's Purse

Clearwind Court. 6900 block. Between 10:15 p.m.-10:25 p.m. Dec. 29. A woman returned home from a shopping trip and put her bags at the front door. Then a thief snatched her purse from her shoulder, got into the passenger side of a green Jeep and escaped westbound with her purse, wallet and miscellaneous cards, the police report states.

Colby Road. 4100 block. Between 8 p.m. Dec. 29 and 8 a.m. Dec. 30. A 2006 Toyota Sienna was ransacked. The driver's side door was found open and items were left strewn on the seats. Nothing was stolen and nothing was damaged, the police report states.

Otley Court. Unit block. Between 6:42 p.m. Dec. 28 and 4:23 p.m. Dec. 30. A neighbor reported that he saw two men steal bicycles from an apartment balcony. He tried to follow them, but lost them, the police report states. Two Harley Davidson and one BMX bicycles were reported missing.
