Pikesville Crime: Resident Thwarts Burglary with Light

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

A woman reportedly scared a burglar away from her house by turning on lights.

At about 10:30 p.m. Friday, a resident of the unit block of Salem Court in Pikesville woke up to a banging noise. After she turned on the lights and went downstairs, the noise stopped.

An hour later she saw that a window had been broken, and there were boot marks on the door.
