Pikesville Crime: Fire Displaces Resident, Burglar Chooses Newports

Owings Mills
Reisterstown Road. 9171. At 12:37 a.m. Aug. 16. A burglar came into store after breaking the front, glass door with a brick. The burglar stole three cartons of Newport cigarettes valued at $228.60, then ran north along Reisterstown Road.

N. Alter Street. 7000 block. Between 3:30-3:55 p.m. Aug. 16. A burglar shattered glass on the back door, worth $500. The burglar then ransacked two rooms and stole $400.
Marnat Road. 2900 block. Between 12:01-8 a.m. Aug. 16. A burglar cut an airconditioner's copper-coolant and power-feed lines from an apartment building, and stole the air conditioner.

Tentmill Lane. Unit block. Between 10 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. Aug. 15. Fire left one apartment and its contents destroyed and its resident displaced. The resident found a place to stay. The fire was not suspicious, the report states.
Lochearn Drive. 3600 block. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 24. A burglar tried to pry the back door from its frame but did not succeed, according to an Aug. 14 police report.
Randallstown
Streamwood Drive. 8300 block. Between noon March 1 and 7:59 p.m. Aug. 14. A Living room window and walls were damaged inside a home. Police say burglars had come in come in for shelter.
