Pikesville Crime: Bus Driver Beaten, Suspect in Dumpster

Two men were arrested Tuesday for beating a bus driver who had reprimanded them.

Keyjuan Kenneth Branch, 19, and Johnathan Michael Watkins, 20, were charged with first-degree assault in the incident that occurred on an Maryland Transit Administration bus, according to a police report.

Between 6:55-7 p.m. Tuesday, the 43-year-old male driver was operating the bus on Milford Mill Road and Liberty Road in Milford Mill, when he reportedly asked the men to stop ringing the buzzer.

In response, when the bus was stopped, the two allegedly punched and kicked the driver in the head and face, and ran.

According to the report, police found Branch hiding in a dumpster in the 8000 block of Woodgate Court. Police captured Watkins at Peach Bottom Lane and Kenmar Road.

According to court records, Keyjuan, a resident of the 3000 block of Windsor Ave. in Baltimore, also was charged with second-degree assault, and as of Friday was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Watkins, a resident of the 8500 block of Glen Mihael Lane in Randallstown, also was charged with second-degree assault and is at the detention center, according to court records.
