Pikesville Crime: Purse Theft Foiled

Pikesville

Wickfield Road, 6500 block, 5:55 p.m., Tuesday. A man unsuccessfully tried to pull a female's purse off of her arm as she walked toward the front door of her home. The two struggled until a neighbor chased him away.

Rolling Road North, 3700 block, between 4 p.m.-7:27 p.m., Wednesday. A woman reported that a laptop computer, a flatscreen TV, a PlayStation 3 and $200 were missing from her apartment. Entry was gained through an unlocked, rear sliding glass door.

Queens Lace Street, 3900 block, between 9 a.m. and 7:55 p.m., Wednesday. Trash was left in a vacant home after entry was gained through an unlocked door. No property was stolen or destroyed.

Wildor Avenue, 3700 block, between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., Tuesday. A glass door was broken and a basement door was pried open, but no one entered the house.
