Pikesville Crime: Burglars Climb To Steal Bicycles

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Bicycle thefts are a summertime problem in Pikesville, according to police at the Baltimore County Police Department's precinct 4.

Pikesville

Bonnie Ridge Drive. 6600 block. Between June 3 and Aug. 3. A burglar broke into a storage unit and removed two bicycles: a black SROM and a pink Mongoose.

Bosges Road. 8200 block. Between 9:45 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 3. A burglar stole a variety of food, a bottle of rum and a silver Sanyo DVD player from a home.

6911 Bonnie Ridge Drive. Between 2 p.m. July 29 and 10:30 p.m. Aug. 3. A burglar stole a bicycle off of an apartment balcony.

11 Sugarloaf Court. 11. Between 6:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1. A burglar stole a gray, crossover bicycle from an apartment balcony.

3 Wytchwood Court. Between 10:30 p.m. July 31 and midnight Aug. 1. A burglar climbed onto a rear balcony and stole a gold Giant brand bicycle from an apartment balcony.

Gwynn Oak

3900 Essex Road. Between 5:30 p.m. July 22 and 8 a.m. July 31. A black fence was torn down and a riding mower was stolen. The victim saw the mower at another property on Essex Road and called police. The new tenants at that residence said the mower had been there when they moved in. The landlord said it had been there a while. The mower was given back to the victim.

Lochearn

10 Tentmill Lane. Between 5 p.m. June 30 and 5:33 p.m. July 30. Someone came into an apartment and stole 50 music DVDs.
