Pikesville Crime: Burglar Shatters Glass Door in Daylight Theft

A burglar broke through a locked door to get into a Pikesville home.

The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and noon Wednesday, at the home in the 2600 block of Summerson Road, according to a report by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct.

A resident returned home at noon in the Greenspring area to find that her rear, sliding glass door was shattered and partially open, the report states. The door had been locked.

The burglar "rummaged through bedroom drawers and stole currency," from the house in the 2600 block of Summerson Road, the report states.
