Pikesville Crime: Burglar Breaks into Trader Joe's

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Lochearn

Laurel Drive. 6700 block. Between 10 p.m. Sept. 16 and 8 a.m. Sept. 17. A burglar went into a vehicle parked in the victim's driveway, but nothing was reported taken.

Liberty Road. 6300 block. Between 6 a.m. Aug. 13 and 9:45 a.m. Sept. 17. A burglar broke through the side balcony door of a home, took some items and cut copper piping from the basement, and left through the same door. It's unknown how the burglar left with the piping, two TVs, a nightstand, desk, washing machine, assorted entertainment items, a gas grill and lawnmower.

Milford Mill

Kenmar Road. 3600 block. Between noon Sept. 9 and noon Sunday. A burglar took property from a resident's shed. Stolen were a Troy-Bilt lawnmower, a Toro leaf blower, a snow blower, chainsaw, electric drill and circular saw.

North Alter Street. 7000 block. 12:41 a.m. Saturday. An alarm went off at a home and police found telephone and cable wires cut outside. A window was smashed and a green plastic chair lay inside. It appeared that's how a burglar came into the home, the report states. The burglar ran out the rear sliding door after the alarm sounded, so nothing was reported missing. 

Owings Mills

Fitzharding Lane. 9300 block. Between 9 p.m. Friday and 12:40 p.m. Saturday. A burglar came into an unlocked residence and stole a Vizio flatscreen TV.

Pikesville

Cliffedge Road. 800 block. 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Three male teens took an ATV from the owner's front yard and drove it north on Cliffedge Road. The vehicle is a yellow AlphaSports brand.

Tapscott Road. 4500 block. Between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday. Someone went into a vehicle parked in the victim's driveway and stole a Blackberry Tour cell phone. 

Panacea Road. 4600 block. 7:23 p.m. Friday. Two burglars tried to get into a home, but didn't succeed. One burglar was described as a male wearing black pants and a black T-shirt, with short, black hair. Details about the other burglar are not known, the report states. 

Wytchwood Court. Unit block. Between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday. A burglar came into a home and took a laptop computer, iPad, a watch, necklace, money and a hat.

Reisterstown Road. 1809. Between 12:01 a.m. to 4:15 a.m. Sept. 17. Burglars "defeated the lock" on the front, sliding doors of Trader Joe's, and on the interior sliding door. Nothing was reported stolen and the suspect ran away.
