Owings Mills Crime: Burglar Kicks In Door

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

A burglar forced open the front door of an Owings Mills apartment this week, damaging the door and ransacking the rooms.

The crime occurred between 1 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, at a Chase Lea apartment in the unit block of Hartley Circle.

"The door appeared to be kicked in," a report from Baltimore County police states. There was $900 in damage to the door.

Because the apartment was ransacked, the resident could not immediately inform police what items were taken, it states.

$900 in damage to a door??? That's one expensive door.

That is about right if the door jamb was shattered which is likely. A few hours labor and a new door and jamb? Yup.
