Pikesville Crime: Dumpster-Jumping Burglar Leaps to Roof

The owner of arrived at work at 6 a.m. March 27 to find that the phone lines to his business had been cut, police said.

Police who reviewed the surveillance camera footage saw a burglar jump from a dumpster onto a roof, and then unscrew a light above the deli, a report states.

Nothing was stolen.

The deli is located at 2849 Smith Avenue, Pikesville.

Lochearn

Oak Avenue. 3600-block. Between 12:06 p.m. March 25 to 10:47 a.m. March 26. Someone forced their way into a home through a porch window and a door, tore drywall from the ceilings and walls, and removed copper piping.

Owings Mills

Red Run Boulevard. 10,000-block. 11:45 a.m. March 25 to 7:45 a.m. March 26. The rear window at Owings Mills Pediatrics was broken and the following were reported missing: cash, a Gateway computer, a prescription pad, an autographed football and autographed baseballs.

Pikesville

Autumn Frost Lane. 1800-block. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. March 27. Pry marks were found on the rear, basement sliding-glass door of a home and the glass was shattered. However, no one got in.
