Woman Killed In Reisterstown House Fire

Fire officials confirmed one dead in the fire in the 400 block of Main Street.

(Updated 8:16 p.m.)—An 80-year-old woman was killed in a one-alarm fire in Reisterstown on Saturday afternoon, fire officials confirmed.

Baltimore County fire officials said a woman was found in a rear bedroom of a single-family home in the 400 block of Main Street. Units were called to the scene at 4:08 p.m. The fire was placed under control at 4:23 p.m.

Fire department spokesman Lt. Paul Massarelli said eight vehicles and 40 fire personnel were called to the scene. Investigators are still working to determine what started the fire. Smoke detectors in the home were working, Massarelli said in a statement
