Men in Reflective Vests Steal Jewelry from Pikesville Home

Pikesville resident let three men in her home, then felt uncomfortable and left to call police from a neighbor's.

A Pikesville woman recently opened her door to three men who were wearing reflective vests and posing as utility company employees. They ended up stealing jewelry from her bedroom.

Between 1 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. Aug. 16, they told a resident of the 6500 block of Copperfield Road that they work for BGE and need to check the water system, according to a report by Baltimore County police.

"While inside ... one suspect distracted the victim while the other two went to an upstairs bedroom and stole miscellaneous jewelry," the report states.

While they were in her home, the resident became uncomfortable and went to a neighbor's home to call 911, it states.

The three suspects are described as Hispanic men between the ages of 20-40 years old and about 5-foot-6, according to the report.
