Meet the Neighbors: Pahl's Crossing

Pahls Crossing residents held a meet-and-greet event Tuesday for National Night Out.

McGruff the crime dog arrived at Pahl's Crossing in a Baltimore County Police Department SUV.

He came in style, with a driver and a few handlers, and met a very excited crowd at the corner of Pahl's Farm Way and Red Jonathan Court.

Children had their photos taken with McGruff, and adults visited with police and representatives of the Pikesville Target store, all in of .

National Night Out is an annual event that helps encourage support for anti-crime programs, Sgt. Vickie Warehime, supervisor for the Pikesville Precinct Community Outreach Team, has said.

"National Night Out also sends a message to criminals that they are not welcome in that community."

Warehime's team helped coordinate nine National Night Out events throughout the precinct. Officer Will Folk, as McGruff, made an appearance at each of those events.
